The children are the root of our existence, the hope of our future, the heart of our dreams, the wings of our souls. They are the most important chain in our societies, the reason of our development and mankind’s progress. They are simply the angels among us and we are obligated to protect them, to  comfort, cherish and   love them.  But, they are also very sensitive and fragile and often an easy prey for demons to pick them up and to hurt them. When one child is hurt, the whole human race is bleeding and that is why we are all very concerned about the security of children. Without them, we have nothing and we are nothing. The complete world is nothing more  but a big zero.

The stories about missing children are one of the scariest we are facing with in the age of all kind of different challenges. The disappeared kids are happening to every country, no matter if it is rich or poor, in war or in peace times. The missing children are the permanent disease of our modern ages and the indicators of this phenomena could be found in political, economical and social ground. In the regions where is the war declared, the children lose their parents and become the orphans, so vulnerable to be abused  for the purpose of prostitution, street crime or even for the organ trafficking. According to Europol, based on reports from 2016, at least 10,000 unaccompanied child refugees  from Syria have disappeared in Europe and the idea that they could be mislead in some of many criminal organizations is more than terrible. Those poor little people have experienced the horror of war but then they have been abused in horror of peace and it seems that International Community does not anything really serious to stop this circle of trauma and to save some of them if not all.

Unfortunately, the Syrian missing children are not the only one. The urban legend of missing kids of the USA is getting more and more the public attention and it is causing the  panic that governments cant protect the offsprings. What is really behind the American social media campaign about the  urgency of children safety ? The painful truth that every year America has more than hundreds of thousands of kids being reported as simply gone.  Many run away because they want freedom from their parents or they do not want to experience domestic violence anymore. Some are lured from their houses by sex traffickers and social predators that they have made the perfect web for their victims, helped by social media advantages and easy attempt to teenagers.  That was the alarm for Washington D.C.’s police department to start the social media awareness campaign and to raise the level of people’s information about missing children and possibility that any of them could be found:“Their posts on Twitter and Facebook attracted attention but also fear and confusion. An Instagram post sounded the alarm. Four girls have gone missing in D.C. in the last 24 hours. Another headline asked – does anyone care about D.C.’s missing black and Latina teens? It seemed like there was a sudden wave of missing kids, so last week city officials organized a meeting to address the community’s growing concern. Mayor Muriel Bowser got on stage and told a crowd of parents and kids she was as caught off guard as they were.” The problem is not only the missing child but also the free range of such cases to be occurred in the city of he White House. Police has confirmed that about 2,200 kids do go missing every year in D.C., but they also have tried to comfort the people by promises that this number doesn’t go up and that majority of vanished children has been found by police officers and special agents for missing people.


The real theater is beginning when the safety of children is below the race conflicts and struggles that white children get more public attention than non-white children. First of all, there are more missing children from the non-white communities because of the economical and financial problems they are dealing with. Some of them are isolated and not enough integrated so they become very easy the pray for the soul hunters and criminals that they promise them the paradise on the Earth. This is the unsolved and critical issue for the USA at all because the isolated young people that suffer from the lack of opportunities are those who will be abused. The children from the broken families where the prostitution and drugs have been the folklore of the childhood will search for the similar ways of existence and once they say NO to the torture, they will be gone. The committers of the crime are aware whose vanishing will cause them a problem and whose vanishing will be forgotten soon.

It is interesting that  Prof David Finkelhor, who co-authored the study, and is director of the Crimes Against Children Research Center at the University of New Hampshire believes that the number of kids kidnapped by strangers is not so high:“Just 115 of the 797,500 children were subject to what Finkelhor and his co-authors define as a ‘stereotypical’ kidnapping – that is, they were abducted by a stranger and detained overnight, perhaps permanently, or taken at least 50 miles away.In fact, almost half the children recorded in the study were what the authors call ‘benign missing’. That means their parent or guardian thought they were missing, but they soon turned up.” The good thing about the advanced technology is the option for parents and police to track the kids through the cell phones and to detect the last location on the map. Now, the perfect crime is not so available due to the high-tech performances of police detectives. Social media voices as well as boosting on media as TV, RADIO and newspapers do not give the real chances to evil strangers to take away our babies.


What is still a big concern is availability of some children to be voluntary taken by strangers due to the online contact and their mental vulnerability to be hypnotized by social predators to leave their families and to get into the total darkness. However, in the last years this happens not so often because the FBI controls the background of the social media communication when it comes to the doubts that there are some digital hunters that seek for a victim.


The parents are also more careful and they do a good security job so the children are safe more than we think at the moment we see the missing child campaign in every 90 seconds hashtag. Personally, I think it is better to raise awareness more than it is necessary than to let things simply being observed and orchestrated in silence. The public must be informed about the current problems and community must be more included in each of the actions against the problem of missing kids.


The encouraging news is that the crime in the United States has declined tremendously, especially against the children. Generally, the statistics work positively for American peaceful dream because the sexual assaults and homicides are also recorded as getting down.

We all must take participation in the protection of children, no matter if we are parents or not. The children are our future and they must have safe life and the community must be able to offer it. If we fail to protect our youngest, we have nothing else worth of protection. The stable society, the economical chances for all and the cultural and religious cooperation could eliminate the vacuum for security to be betrayed and for some of our children to be used as a sacrifice for someone’s broken dreams.



  1. Sarah’s extremely important and informative article reminded me of my early-primary school days when a police officer came to the school to present a lecture titled ‘Beware of Strangers’. The police officer presented a frightening short film of a young man hanging around a public playground. This was in 1974, when I was only about six-years old. Yet, the message remained firm in my mind…

    At the same time, I was confused by authority. By my adolescence, I had begun to question the contradictions in authority; including my parents, the police and the government. I was born into a virtual Apartheid system in The Antipodes, in which an official national policy had been implemented to confiscate aboriginal children from their parents; in order to be reshaped into ‘good little Christians’. I see this as being just as criminal and horrific as a pedophile kidnapping, etc., any child. The aboriginal children endured extensive humiliations, cultural dissolution and much more.

    No government has the moral right to confiscate children from parents. There are laws to protect children from abusive and dangerous parents, but governments are far more perilous than parents could ever be. For example, US-President Ronald Reagan’s administrations of the 1980s clandestinely supported Central American death squads that indulged in the rape, torture and murder of thousands of women and children. All this man-made Hell to sustain elite privilege, in North America.

    The term ‘white stolen generations’ is used to distinguish the group from the indigenous stolen generations of Australasia. It is estimated that around 250,000 Australian-born non-indigenous children were removed from their mothers, from the 1930s to 1982, in what was widely seen by society as a whole at the time as a positive thing for both the mothers and the children. Often, the mothers were drugged, tied to beds or told their babies had died. Many hospitals engaged in what is now known as ‘institutionalised baby farming’, whereby those children deemed ‘inferior’ were taken and adopted into The Middle Class.

    Former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard offered a national apology to those affected by forced adoptions, in 2013. The Australian Senate Inquiry Report into Forced Adoption Practices found that babies were taken illegally by doctors, nurses, social workers and religious figures (with the assistance of adoption agencies or other authorities), and adopted to married couples. Some mothers were coerced, drugged and illegally had their consent taken. Many of these adoptions occurred after the mothers were sent away by their families due to the stigma associated with being pregnant and unmarried.

    Native American boarding schools were established in The United States of America during the late-19th and early-20th centuries, ‘to educate and assimilate Native American children and youths’, according to Euro-American standards. The US-government paid religious orders to provide education to Native American children on reservations. Many children were forcibly taken from their communities, or the parents were coerced by authorities.

    Many children died while in custody at these schools. The 1928 Meriam Report noted that infectious disease was often widespread at the schools due to malnutrition, overcrowding, poor sanitary conditions, and students weakened by overwork. The report states that death rates for Native American students were six and a half times higher than for other ethnic groups.

    In 2011, child poverty reached record high levels in The United States of America; with 16.7 million children living in food insecure households. A 2013 UNICEF report ranked The United States of America as having the second highest relative child poverty rates in The Developed World. According to a 2016 study by The Urban Institute, US-adolescents in low income communities are often forced to join gangs, save school lunches, sell drugs or exchange sexual favours because they cannot afford food.

    A major criticism of US-drone strikes in Asia and elsewhere is that they result in excessive collateral damage, which includes hundreds of innocent children. The US-government refuses to hand over war criminals from its military personnel to The Hague, and the surviving members of families killed by US-drone strikes have no recourse to the law… All they can do is mourn the loss of their innocent children.

    One of the most infamous cases of US-authority figures falsifying a child’s identification for public support purposes was that of Mrs Christine Collins (1888-1964): in 1928, her small son was abducted by a serial killer, in the Los Angeles area. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) was deeply loathed by the public then, due to corruption and disrespect towards civilians in general. Trying to regain public confidence, the LAPD hierarchy attempted to present a child to Mrs Collins who was not her son. She persisted in her claim that the boy was not her son. Even though she was armed with dental records proving her case, the LAPD had her committed to the psychiatric ward at Los Angeles County Hospital, under a Code 12 internment; a term used to jail or commit someone who was deemed difficult or an inconvenience. Through pressure, etc., by rights groups, the LAPD was forced to release her. She went on to prosecute the LAPD, but the worst part for her was learning that her son had been murdered by the serial killer.

    The Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) of 1989 includes their right to association with both parents, human identity as well as the basic needs for physical protection, food, universal state-paid education, health care, and criminal laws appropriate for the age and development of the child, equal protection of the child’s civil rights, and freedom from discrimination on the basis of the child’s race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, religion, disability, colour, ethnicity or other characteristics.

    Sarah ends her provocative and imperative article with a cry to all conscientious and sane adults to protect children. I stand by Sarah’s side, trying to protect children from human traffickers, etc., and governments, equally…

    This is such a critically important subject, as it affects most of us one way or another !

    Too many children disappear every day and every year here in the U.S. and around the world ! Sure, the study by Professor David Finkelhor, is reassuring, however, we should not “sit on our laurels” and we should be vigilant at all times in order to protect our progeny !

    To elaborate on this point, I remember very vividly my California years, as a Ph.D. student at UCLA, when I would see a plethora of ads with children’s pictures on newspapers, and fliers everywhere in Los Angeles about missing children !

    It always saddened me to see the pictures of and read about the missing kids. They all had one thing in common, namely, PURE INNOCENCE !

    The missing children were as racially diversified as could be ! There were ads/pictures about White, Latino, and African-American kids among others ! Nothing seemed to stop the predators from committing these heinous crimes !

    In my opinion, the law has to be merciless with kidnappers as to punishment. If, for example, a kidnapper knew he/she would face “life without parole” in jail, he/she would think twice ! In other words, the justice system and the laws could act as a deterrent for any Would-be kidnappers !

  3. Thank you, Sarah, for such an important and shocking article. Children are the leaders of our future, and if we don’t raise them right, we will be producing a corrupt society. With few exceptions, such as when the children and parents are forcefully separated, the cause of the problem is negative and bad parenting. Parents these days have lost their orientation, and forgot or didn’t even know their role in raising and caring for children. Such situation is the result of selfishness such as in divorce cases or ignorance such as in domestic violence and child abuse.
    Positive and good parenting guarantees that there will be no evil people on the street targeting children to abduct them, and it guarantees to eliminate children run away from home, who later become the victims of evil people.
    Positive and good parenting is not a dream, it is reality that still exist and was the mainstream in any society. Positive and good parenting is when the parents carry their responsibility as parents and are sincere in doing it. It takes a faithful person to be a good parent, and it takes a faithful parent to sacrifice their time and desires for the sake of their own children, and for the sake of building a great society.
    Even though the authorities in any society play an important role in saving and protecting people including children, it is almost impossible, to watch every individual to keep peace and security for all members of the society. The issue of missing children starts at home, and must be cured at home. Our governments should invest generously in the family, because the family is the basic cell of the society.

It is almost a word-for-word translation of the original texts.     Rabbi Dr. Louis Finkelstein, Instructor of Talmud, and later president of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, writes:

    Pharisaism became Talmudism, Talmudism became Medieval Rabbinism, and Medieval Rabbinism became Modern Rabbinism. But throughout these changes of name, inevitable adaptation of custom, and adjustment of Law, the spirit of the ancient Pharisee survives unaltered. When the Jew reads his prayers, he is reciting formulae prepared by pre-Maccabean scholars; when he dons the cloak prescribed for the Day of Atonement and Passover Eve, he is wearing the festival garment of ancient Jerusalem; when he studies the Talmud, he is actually repeating the arguments used in the Palestinian academies.

    SANHEDRIN, 55b-55a: “What is meant by this? – Rab said: Pederasty with a child below nine years of age is not deemed as pederasty with a child above that. Samuel said: Pederasty with a child below three years is not treated as with a child above that (2) What is the basis of their dispute? – Rab maintains that only he who is able to engage in sexual intercourse, may, as the passive subject of pederasty throw guilt (upon the actual offender); whilst he who is unable to engage in sexual intercourse cannot be a passive subject of pederasty (in that respect) (3). But Samuel maintains: Scriptures writes, (And thou shalt not lie with mankind) as with the lyings of a woman (4). It has been taught in accordance with Rab: Pederasty at the age of nine years and a day; (55a) (he) who commits bestiality, whether naturally or unnaturally: or a woman who causes herself to be bestiality abused, whether naturally or unnaturally, is liable to punishment (5).”
    This “divine truth” which “a whole people venerate” of which “not a single letter of it is missing” and today “is flourishing to such a degree as cannot be found in its history” is illustrated by the additional verbatim quotations which follow:
    SANHEDRIN, 69b “Our rabbis taught: If a woman sported lewdly with her young son (a minor), and he committed the first stage of cohabitation with her, -Beth Shammai says, he thereby renders her unfit for the priesthood (1). Beth Hillel declares her fit…All agree that the connection of a boy nine years and a day is a real connection; whilst that of one less than eight years is not (2); their dispute refers only to one who is eight years old.
    KETHUBOTH, 11a-11b. “Rabba said, It means (5) this: When a grown up man has intercourse with a little girl it is nothing, for when the girl is less than this (6), it is as if one puts the finger in the eye (7), but when a small boy has intercourse with a grown up woman, he makes her as `a girl who is injured by a piece of wood’ “. (footnotes) “(5). Lit., `says’. (6) Lit., `here’, that is, less than three years old. (7) Tears come to the eyes again and again, so does virginity come back to the little girl under three years.”
    KETHUBOTH, 11a-11b. “Rab Judah said that Rab said: A small boy who has intercourse with a grown up woman makes her (as though she were ) injured by a piece of wood (1). Although the intercourse of a small boy is not regarded as a sexual act, nevertheless the woman is injured by it as by a piece of wood(a dildo).”

    ABODAH ZARAH, 36b-37a. “R. Naham b. Isaac said: They decreed in connection with a heathen child that it would cause defilement by seminal emission (2) so that an Israelite child should not become accustomed to commit pederasty with it…From what age does a heathen child cause defilement by seminal emission? From the age of nine years and one day. (37a) for inasmuch as he is then capable of the sexual act he likewise defiles by emission. Rabina said: It is therefore to be concluded that a heathen girl (communicates defilement) from the age of three years and one day, for inasmuch as she is then capable of the sexual act she likewise defiles by a flux.
    SOTAH, 26b. “R. Papa said: It excludes an animal, because there is not adultery in connection with an animal (4). Raba of Parazika (5) asked R. Ashi, Whence is the statement which the Rabbis made that there is no adultery in connection with an animal? Because it is written, Thou shalt not bring the hire of a harlot or the wages of a dog etc.; (6) and it has been taught: The hire of a dog (7) and the wages of a harlot (8) are permissible, as it is said, Even both of these (9) – the two (specified texts are abominations) but not four (10)…As lying with mankind. (12) But, said Raba, it excludes the case where he warned her against contact of the bodies (13). Abaye said to him, That is merely an obscene act (and not adultery), and did the All-Merciful prohibit (a wife to her husband) for an obscene act?”
    SANHEDRIN, 55b: “A maiden three years and a day may be acquired in marriage by coition, and if her deceased husband’s brother cohabits with her, she becomes his. The penalty of adultery may be incurred through her; (if a niddah) she defiles him who has connection with her, so that he in turn defiles that upon which he lies, as a garment which has lain upon (a person afflicted with gonorrhea).”
    (footnotes) “(2) His wife derives no pleasure from this, and hence there is no cleaving. (3) A variant reading of this passage is: Is there anything permitted to a Jew which is forbidden to a heathen. Unnatural connection is permitted to a Jew. (4) By taking the two in conjunction, the latter as illustrating the former, we learn that the guilt of violating the injunction `to his wife but not to his neighbor’s wife’ is incurred only for natural but not for unnatural intercourse.”
    Of the “sacred” Talmudic teachings of the “Sages,” preserved since 500 A.D. and taught more widely today than ever before in Talmud-Torah schools in the U.S.A., perhaps nothing better illustrates “fools” with “reprobate minds” than the teaching in the Talmud book of Yebamoth that spittle on the top of the bed curtain proves that a wife has been guilty of adultery, as only lying down face upwards could she have spit up on it. Spitting several feet straight up!
    The Talmud states:
    “When a peddler leaves a house and the woman within is fastening her sinnar [breech-cloth] … . If spittle is found on the upper part of the curtained bed she must, said Rabbi, go.”
    Footnote: “Even if there were no witnesses that misconduct took place.”
    Further footnote: “Only the woman lying face upwards could have spat on the spot. Intercourse may, therefore, be suspected.”

    Second century Rabbi Simeon ben Yohai, one of Judaism’s very greatest rabbis and a creator of Kabbalah, sanctioned pedophilia — permitting molestation [raping] of baby girls even younger than three! He proclaimed, “A proselyte who is under the age of three years and a day is permitted to marry a priest.”
    (1) Subsequent rabbis refer to ben Yohai’s endorsement of pedophilia as “halakah”, or binding Jewish law.
    (2) Has ben Yohai, child rape advocate, been disowned by modern Jews? Hardly. Today, in ben Yohai’s hometown of Meron, Israel, tens of thousands of orthodox and ultra-orthodox Jews gather annually for days and nights of singing and dancing in his memory.

    References to pedophilia abound in the Talmud. They occupy considerable sections of Treatises Kethuboth and Yebamoth and are enthusiastically endorsed by the Talmud’s definitive legal work, Treatise Sanhedrin.

    The rabbis of the Talmud are notorious for their legal hair-splitting, and quibbling debates. But they share rare agreement about their right to molest three year old girls. In contrast to many hotly debated issues, hardly a hint of dissent rises against the prevailing opinion (expressed in many clear passages) that pedophilia is not only normal but scriptural as well! It’s as if the rabbis have found an exalted truth whose majesty silences debate.

    Because the Talmudic authorities who sanction pedophilia are so renowned, and because pedophilia as “halakah” is so explicitly emphasized, not even the translators of the Soncino edition of the Talmud (1936) dared insert a footnote suggesting the slightest criticism. They only comment: “Marriage, of course, was then at a far earlier age than now.” (3)

    In fact, footnote 5 to Sanhedrin 60b rejects the right of a Talmudic rabbi to disagree with ben Yohai’s endorsement of pedophilia: “How could they [the rabbis], contrary to the opinion of R. Simeon ben Yohai, which has scriptural support, forbid the marriage of the young proselyte?” (4)

    It was in Babylon after the exile under Nebuchadnezzar in 597 BC that Judaism’s leading sages probably began to indulge in pedophilia. Babylon was the staggeringly immoral capitol of the ancient world. For 1600 years, the world’s largest population of Jews flourished within it. [Ashkenazik Shinar (‘sin’) was a stone throw away from Sodom and Gomorrah – Any questions?]

    As an example of their evil, Babylonian priests said a man’s religious duty included regular sex with temple prostitutes. Bestiality was widely tolerated. So Babylonians hardly cared whether a rabbi married [raped] a three year old girl.

    But with expulsion of the Jews [‘Edomites, Pharisees, Ashkenazim, Khazars, Sephardim’] in the 11th century AD, mostly to western Christian lands, Gentile tolerance of Jewish pedophilia abruptly ended.
    Still, a shocking contradiction lingers:

    If Jews want to revere the transcendent wisdom and moral guidance of the Pharisees and their Talmud, they must accept the right of their greatest ancient sages to violate children. To this hour, no synod of Judaism has repudiated their vile practice.


    What exactly did these sages say?
    The Pharisees justified child rape by explaining that a boy of nine years was not a “man” Thus they exempted him from God’s Mosaic Law: “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination” (Leviticus. 18:22) One passage in the Talmud gives permission for a woman who molested her young son to marry a high priest. It concludes,
    “All agree that the connection of a boy aged nine years and a day is a real connection; whilst that of one less than eight years is not.” (5)

    Because a boy under 9 is sexually immature,he can’t “throw guilt” on the active offender, morally or legally. (6)
    A woman could molest a young boy without questions of morality even being raised: “…the intercourse of a small boy is not regarded as a sexual act.” (7) The Talmud also says, “A male aged nine years and a day who cohabits with his deceased brother’s wife acquires her (as wife).” (8) Clearly, the Talmud teaches that a woman is permitted to marry and have sex with a nine year old boy.

    In contrast to Simeon ben Yohai’s dictum that sex with a little girl is permitted under the age of three years, the general teaching of the Talmud is that the rabbi must wait until a day after her third birthday. She could be taken in marriage simply by the act of rape. [these were the ‘precursors’ of Hillary, Pelosi, Kagan, Napolitano, Ginsburg, Boxer, Albright, Abzug, Goldman, Livni, ad nauseam]

    R. Joseph said: “Come and hear! A maiden aged three years and a day may be acquired in marriage by coition and if her deceased husband’s brother cohabits with her, she becomes his.” (Sanh. 55b)

    “A girl who is three years of age and one day may be betrothed by cohabitation …” (Yeb. 57b)

    A maiden aged three years and a day may be acquired in marriage by coition, and if her deceased husband’s brother cohabited with her she becomes his. (Sanh. 69a, 69b, also discussed in Yeb. 60b)

    It was taught: R. Simeon b. Yohai stated:
    “A proselyte who is under the age of three years and one day is permitted to marry a priest, for it is said, But all the women children that have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves, and Phineas (who was priest, the footnote says) surely was with them.” (Yeb. 60b)

    [The Talmud says such three year and a day old girls are] “… fit for cohabitation … But all women children, that have not known man by lying with him, it must be concluded that Scripture speaks of one who is fit for cohabitation.” (Footnote to Yeb. 60b)

    The example of Phineas, a priest, himself marrying an underage virgin of three years is considered by the Talmud as proof that such infants are “fit for cohabitation.”

    The Talmud teaches that an adult woman’s molestation of a nine year old boy is “not a sexual act” and cannot “throw guilt” upon her because the little boy is not truly a “man.” (9) But they use opposite logic to sanction rape of little girls aged three years and one day: Such infants they count as “women,” sexually mature and fully responsible to comply with the requirements of marriage.

    The Talmud footnotes 3 and 4 to Sanhedrin 55a clearly tell us when the rabbis considered a boy and girl sexually mature and thus ready for marriage.

    “At nine years a male attains sexual matureness… The sexual matureness of woman is reached at the age of three.”

    The Pharisees were hardly ignorant of the trauma felt by molested children. To complicate redress, the Talmud says a rape victim must wait until she was of age before there would be any possibility of restitution. She must prove that she lived and would live as a devoted Jewess, and she must protest the loss of her virginity on the very hour she comes of age.
    “As soon as she was of age one hour and did not protest she cannot protest any more.” (10)

    The Talmud defends these strict measures as necessary to forestall the possibility of a Gentile child bride rebelling against Judaism and spending the damages awarded to her as a heathen – an unthinkable blasphemy! But the rights of the little girl were really of no great consequence, for,
    “When a grown-up man has intercourse with a little girl it is nothing, for when the girl is less than this (three years and a day) it is as if one put the finger into the eye.”

    The footnote says that as:
    “tears come to the eye again and again, so does virginity come back to the little girl under three years.” (11)

    In most cases, the Talmud affirms the innocence of male and female victims of pedophilia. Defenders of the Talmud claim this proves the Talmud’s amazing moral advancement and benevolence toward children; they say it contrasts favorably with “primitive” societies where the child would have been stoned along with the adult perpetrator.

    Actually, the rabbis, from self-protection, were intent on proving the innocence of both parties involved in pedophilia: the child, but more importantly, the pedophile. They stripped a little boy of his right to “throw guilt” on his assailant and demanded complicity in sex from a little girl. By thus providing no significant moral or legal recourse for the child, the Talmud clearly reveals whose side it is on: the raping rabbi.

    Child rape was practiced in the highest circles of Judaism .
    This is illustrated from Yeb. 60b:

    “There was a certain town in the land of Israel the legitimacy of whose inhabitants was disputed, and Rabbi sent R. Romanos who conducted an inquiry and found in it the daughter of a proselyte who was under the age of three years and one day, and Rabbi declared her eligible to live with a priest.”

    The footnote says that she was “married to a priest” and the rabbi simply permitted her to live with her husband, thus upholding “halakah” as well as the dictum of Simeon ben Yohai, “A proselyte who is under the age of three years and one day is permitted to marry a priest.” (12)

    These child brides were expected to submit willingly to sex. Yeb. 12b confirms that under eleven years and one day a little girl is not permitted to use a contraceptive but “must carry on her marital intercourse in the usual manner.”

    In Sanhedrin 76b a blessing is given to the man who marries off his children before they reach the age of puberty, with a contrasting curse on anyone who waits longer. In fact, failure to have married off one’s daughter by the time she is 12-1/2, the Talmud says, is as bad as one who “returns a lost article to a Cuthean” (Gentile) – a deed for which “the Lord will not spare him.” (13) This passage says:

    “… it is meritorious to marry off one’s children whilst minors.”

    The mind reels at the damage to the untold numbers of girls who were sexually abused within Judaism during the heyday of pedophilia. Such child abuse, definitely practiced in the second century, continued, at least in Babylon, for another 900 years.

    Perusing the Talmud, one is overwhelmed with the recurrent preoccupation with sex, especially by the most eminent rabbis. Dozens of illustrations could be presented to illustrate the delight of the Pharisees to discuss sex and quibble over its minutest details.

    The rabbis endorsing child sex undoubtedly practiced what they preached. Yet to this hour, their words are revered. Simeon ben Yohai is honored by Orthodox Jews as one of the very greatest sages and spiritual lights the world has ever known [!!!]. A member of the earliest “Tannaim,” rabbis most influential in creating the Talmud, he carries more authority to observant Jews than Moses.
