X-FILE AND AMERICANS
“The truth is out there but the lies are inside your head.”
-Anonymous
Nobody has really seen them but it seems that many believe that aliens have visited the Earth. The dramatic situation with this kind of thoughts towards the exterritorial civilization is especially recorded in the USA, very well known for the phenomena of X-files and alien abduction claimants.
According to National Geographic poll from the 2012, almost 77% of Americans are sure that aliens have been on the Earth and 30% of Americans accuse the goverment for covering the facts, according to the latest polls. It is not the problem the belief in the existence of alien life but the problem is mixing the reality with imagination and coming out with the stories beyond imaginable. Then, it is the time for the X-file zone and the incredible confessions of people that we will never be convinced if they are enjoying the parallel world in their heads or the reality is simply hidden for the rest of us.
Alien abduction claimants or abductees and experiencers are the people who have claimed they have been abducted by aliens, brought to exterrestrial surroundings for the purpose of medical experiments. The main focus of all researches by aliens, according to the claims, was on the reproductive system of the humans. This element is very basic in many science fiction movies, produced by Hollywood, that shows us the fragile nature of the human race and its vulnerability in another possible dimension.
The first known tale about the abduction by the UFO has been started in 1961, the case of Betty and Barney Hill. They were driving from Montreal to Portsmouth when they spotted that UFO is following them. They claimed they had seen the strange creatures behind the windows of the UFO craft but they haven’t realized how they got 35 miles away from the Indian Head in the White Mountains where the UFO had been noted by them in the first moment. That was the beginning of the American obsession with the UFO existence on the Earth and particularly across the USA.
The couple has never given up on the claimants they have been the first victims of the aliens invasive testing. The both of them accepted the hypnotherapy that has confirmed they had experienced some form of abduction but also opened the space for many debates for and against UFO abductions. Since then, the theory about aliens that kidnapped humans, in this case, Americans are the part of the urban legend. You cant miss the point or the person that somehow has had the contact with the aliens. If you don’t believe in such things, you don’t share the American heritage and popular fascination with the guests from the galaxy.
Day by day, the abductees are coming from the different social and intellectual levels, shaping the public opinion of the USA, that is very weak in forming the rational response on the explosion of irrational fears. As I have already mentioned, the discussion is not about the existance of aliens and scientific provements of it, it is rather about the personal claims and fictional ideas about the imaginary things that are interfering with our daily life. That was the main trigger for many scientists and researchers to stand up against those claimants and offer the constructive explanations for the situations those claimed they had suffered.
First of all, it could be so called sleep paralysis with very vivid dreams. Then, some psychiatrists stated that many of those people suffer from paranoid thinking and that their senses for rational and irrational are merged into one so the border lines are hard to be found. If you add to it the fact that many do not treat their different stages of psychosis, you will get the scenario for some cheap UFO scenario.
Nearly million Americans believe they have been abducted by aliens. Does it mean that all of them are mentally disturbed or affected with terrible level of paranoid psychosis ? No, it simply means that some experiences cant be explained in the scientific way but it definitely doesn’t also confirm the claims of the people that they have been taken by the non -human forms. Dr. Stuart Appelle, psychology professor at SUNY Brockport is researching this phenomena for years and finds himself a bit confused with the numerous the same experiences of claimants:“Many people feel that the consistency, in and of itself, is strong evidence that people are reporting real experiences.Even the sequence is the same. Most abductees report being taken from their bedrooms, or after they are stopped in their vehicles along an isolated strip of road.Generally, this is followed by a period of amnesia. The next thing they know, the UFO is gone and they’re back in their car traveling down the highway, and an hour or two has passed and they can’t account for it.When the ‘memory’ returns, either spontaneously or through hypnosis, abductees claim to have been aboard a spaceship or in an unusual environment.Typically, they are subjected to various physical and psychological examinations, carried out by beings that look not human. Most abductees describe aliens similarly; gray, about 4- or 5-feet tall, with disproportionately large heads for their bodies, and very large, almond-shaped eyes.” Dr. Appelle is one of the rare experts that believe that these stories have a real background. He thinks that all offered science solutions for UFO experiences are failed to answer on the core of the happenings and he still insists that highway abduction can not be covered with paranoid nature or sleeping paralysis, that are very vague. It must be something deeper, that doesn’t have yet the documented explanations.
On the other side, I am wondering myself why is this kind of alien abduction massive recorded in the US but not so much in other parts of the world? Should we assume that aliens are more attracted to America than to Europe, Asia, Africa or even Australia? Now and then, we have some childish tabloid stories from the UK or Norway about the alien abduction but the big picture is still missing. The American love for aliens is never ending. Everything starts and ends with them and the goverment that hides something from people. Sometimes, Fox Mulder is an iconic figure because he sees things beyond the menu that is served to us and the problem with the modern US is that almost everyone believes that could be Fox Mulder that solves the mystery of the century. When the science can not give us the answers we need, we reach out to the zone of the 6th sense.

Sarah,
My son and I are UFO amateur researchers and believe whole heartedly in Alien life. I will share this with him. I have seen unidentified objects and had many paranormal experiences with the afterlife as well.
Best,
Jim

Sarah’s provocative article concludes with the reference to the controversial ‘Sixth Sense’. In the context of the possibility of human contact with extraterrestrial beings (i.e. higher thinking organisms), it is not improbable. The known Universe possesses two trillion plus galaxies and the probability of their being other higher thinking organisms other than ourselves, within interstellar space, is highly likely. Extrasensory Perception (ESP) is associated with human intuition and how the neurological system interacts with extraneous factors (e.g. the Earth’s magnetic field). The two most abundant and fundamental elements in the known Universe, Hydrogen and Helium, are evidence that the progenitors of organic life (i.e. the gases that formulate the foundations of what become suns, planets, etc.) exist throughout the known Universe.
For centuries, there have been anecdotal accounts of anomalous animal behaviour preceding and associated with earthquakes. In cases where animals display unusual behaviour some tens of seconds prior to an earthquake, it has been suggested they are responding to the P-wave. These travel through the ground about twice as fast as the S-waves that cause the most severe shaking. The animals do not predict the earthquake itself (that has been instigated, already), but only the imminent arrival of the more destructive S-waves. In addition, it has been suggested that unusual animal behaviour hours or even days beforehand could be triggered by foreshock activity at magnitudes that most people do not notice.
Arguably, modern industrial human existence has impeded the possible Sixth Sense, due to excessive dissonances, pollution, depletion of the main senses and so on. In the context of intuition and possible telepathy, it is extremely difficult to know to what extent these may have been diminished, if at all.
The mainstream Occidental scientific community rejects ESP, due to the absence of an evidence base, the lack of a theory which would explain ESP, the lack of experimental techniques which can provide reliably positive results, and considers ESP to be pseudoscience. However, they thought the same about facts like the Earth being spherical and not flat, some centuries ago. It is not professional nor beneficial to simply dismiss possibility through lack of tangible evidence: scientists conduct research into so many entities (e.g. molecular microbiology), and lack of evidence never stops them searching…
In the context of the two trillion plus galaxies, the Earth is very young and Homo sapiens are even younger, of course. Certainly, there could exist other dimensions that the human mind does not yet comprehend. Both Time and Space are infinite entities.
The more so important question for me concerns why extraterrestrials would be interested in both the Earth and in Homo sapiens. If the technology exists for them to travel across Time and Space with relative ease, then this alludes to a protracted study of the planet and us; such as several million years, perhaps. Can anything beneficial be learnt from Homo sapiens? Biodiversity dictates that the fundamentals of biological beings would be the same, across the known Universe; only the combinations of structure, appearance, etc., being different. We know that within our own solar system the other planets possess identical structural topographies to that of the Earth.
I do not believe the real issue is about Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), etc., but about why contact would be made by extraterrestrials. Sarah alludes to this herself in her excellent article.

Thank you, Sarah, for researching and covering this mystical topic !
I have a theory, or an explanation, as to why abductees are more abundant in the U.S. than in any other country! But, first, I would like to state that I understand and agree that there is a good probability of the existence of other life form such as “aliens”! Therefore, I’m not at all opposed to that theory.
However, from a mathematical point of view, and according to the theory of probability, it is not likely that almost all of the “alien” activities, as well as UFO’s, take place in the U.S. ! The rationale is that, according to the theory of probability, the “sample” or the “population”, as defined in math and statistics, assumes the bell-shape distribution, which means that there has to be a “scatter” of the data, hence there has to be “abductees” from all over the map. It is not mathematically logical to have all the abductions in one place !
There is a definite lack of rationale as to this point and, in my opinion, this is very closely related to near-death experiences !
Most people in near-death experiences tell stories that reflect their religious upbringing! In other words, the near-death experience is not mathematically independent, which renders it unbelievable! This is what makes me skeptical of those near-death experiences as well !
The same applies to “aliens” and UFO’s, i.e. people, who were brought up with certain beliefs about “aliens” and UFO’s, have a propensity to believe in them ! In the American culture, where Hollywood movies and TV shows about aliens are rife, it is no surprise that the majority of the “abductees” are from the U.S. !
Thank you again, Sarah, for your brilliant article !

An interesting article Sarah. Thank you for such thorough research and clear writing. Such phenomena will remain in the darkness if we humans continue to lack a true explanation for it. When reading about it, few questions come to my mind.
1) Why most abduction cases reported in the USA?
2) Why most abduction cases happen to adults, while children are much easier to abduct?
3) Why most children abduction cases happen to military parents’ children
4) Why most non-military children abduction cases happen to parents who reported that they have been themselves abducted.
5) Is the government hiding facts from us?
6) Are those abductees telling the truth or trying be in the spotlight?
7) When abductees are telling the truth, is it just in their mind, or is it reality?

Good article SS. My view – mathematically speaking the chances of existence of alien life are probably good, but I suppose the question here is why only in America. Is it possible that the forums for reporting such an event are more prevalent in the US, in comparison to other places. Also possible that since already a million have reported such an event, it’s easier for people to come forward and not be branded a weirdo.

Definitely believe that which you said. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the net
the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you,
I certainly get annoyed while people consider worries
that they just don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and
defined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people could take a signal.
Will probably be back to get more. Thanks http://ygzx8.com/comment/html/index.php?page=1&id=22049
